Time Ducks v.1.2.3 codename: Luxus Souls now available

We at Tough Guy Studios are proud and excited to announce the availability of the first major update for Time Ducks.

As of today, players can compare hi-scores against others world wide with the integration of Game Center. The new 12 minute challenge mode, allows players to knock up as many points as possible in, you guessed it… 12 minutes and plays differently to normal mode as it allows you to pick yourself up and continue once you have been run over.

In the update, visit the brand new engine room and meet the Maharajah squid and his employees whilst eavesdropping on his telephone conversations. Find the new awesome Time Ducks hidden game: MindCraft, unlock the new tier 4 animal Neanderthal Man in Suit and complete three new rather awesome achievements.

The price has also been reduced to $0.99 / €0.79 / JP¥85 / CN¥6.00 / etc., so there is really no longer any excuse to not experience the universe of Time Ducks. We hope you’ll have a lot of fun!

Time Ducks 1.0.2 is now live

We worked super fast and hard, and Apple turned out to be very helpful in doing a fast review, so now Time Ducks 1.0.2 has hit the streets.

You will notice that you cannot press play on the menu screen when the game loads for the first time, until Time Ducks is COMPLETELY ready to play. On iPhone 4 and iPad 2 etc., this takes no time at all, but on older devices like 3GS, you will have to wait like 10 more seconds the first time. The good thing is, that this ensures that the game won’t ever crash, and that the animals will no longer turn invincible under dire circumstances.

Now, you can enjoy Time Ducks even more than ever before, and look forward to our next update, which will be bigger:

A bug

Unfortunately while fixing an issue on iPhone 3Gs and iPad 1 where the animals would sometimes turn invincible, we introduced a new bug where Time Ducks crashes if you press play too early after the game has loaded.

This only happens on the iPad 1 and iPhone 3Gs (and iPod touch equivalent). We are so sorry for this inconvenience, and working hard on fixing it and releasing a quick update.

We have fixed the issue, but unfortunately it usually takes up to a week for Apple to approve version updates.

The workaround for now, is that when you start the game for the first time on older devices, don’t press play until approximately after George (the trumpet playing skeleton) says “We hope you’ll enjoy it”.

We hope you’ll have a little patience with us, and please, if you encounter people with the same problem, tell them about the workaround.
